Invoice & collect – how does it work?

The theory is a simple one. Invoice an individual for a service or product they have enjoyed, and then collect payment in lieu of that product or service. . . The reality, however, is a different animal, often requiring significant time and effort on the part of the property manager.

NetBILL simplifies the task through a two step process:

Step 1: Invoicing (asking for payment)

  • Invoices only need to be created once (when a new lease is signed).
  • Invoices are automatically raised and distributed on the following basis:
  • monthly
  • bimonthly
  • quarterly
  • semi annually (twice a year)
  • annually
  • Global price changes are quick and easy to do. This is especially convenient when there is an unanticipated rate increase, for example.
  • Automatically manages escalations. This is convenient as it allows you to set when the rentals should increase in advance. It can therefore cater for all the different dates on which the lease agreements are signed without you having to remember to effect the escalation.
  • Automatically starts and terminates tenant invoices within specified periods.

Step 2: Collections (getting what you asked for?)

  • Automatically collects outstanding amounts. This is convenient for your tenants as they do not have to remember to make the deposit.
  • Collects penalties and late fees when necessary.
  • Manages rejections, return of payments and recollections. If the debit order is rejected, NetBILL will recollect the outstanding amount.
  • Provides a detailed reconciliation of the collected amounts.
